About This Project

How It Started

Greek With Dimitris started from my own struggle. Years ago, I decided to learn Egyptian Arabic. I was motivated and excited, but very quickly I felt lost. Apps taught me random words, grammar rules didn’t make sense, and when people spoke to me, I froze. I learned firsthand how frustrating it feels when you want to speak a language but don’t know where to start.

That experience stayed with me. When I later saw people trying to learn Greek and feeling the same frustration, I knew exactly how they felt. I realized the problem wasn’t effort — it was the way languages are taught.

I started Greek With Dimitris in April 2024 with one simple idea: explain Greek the way I wish Arabic had been explained to me. I shared short, simple videos that showed how Greeks really speak. Within just 3 months, the page grew to over 100,000 followers, and I knew this approach was working.

Project Goal

My goal is to help you feel confident speaking Greek in real life — not perfect Greek, but real Greek. The kind you use at cafés, shops, and with friends.

That’s why I focus fully on digital videos and online courses. I don’t offer private lessons or in-person classes, because digital learning allows me to reach and help far more people around the world in a clear, simple, and consistent way.

I teach in a fun, easy, and simple style, breaking everything into small steps so learning Greek feels possible, not stressful.

Impact So Far

What started as a small page has grown into a global community of 750,000+ followers across social media, reaching millions of learners every month. So far, more than 9,300 students have joined my courses through Prepare for Greece, and the platform holds a 4.87/5 rating from over 600 student reviews.
